Why hire from South West Cleaning Equipment
Why hire your cleaning equipment?
Professional cleaning machines are a big capital outlay and they come with storage, servicing and repair costs on top. Hiring gives you the right machine for the job without tying up your cash, and with the maintenance handled for you.
No large upfront outlay
Hire keeps your capital free to use elsewhere in the business. You get professional-grade Kärcher equipment without the five-figure purchase.
Tax-efficient
Hire charges are normally a fully deductible business expense, coming off your tax bill in the year you spend, unlike a capital purchase. (We’ll always suggest confirming the detail with your accountant.)
No servicing or repair bills
Maintenance is included, so there are no surprise repair costs and no downtime spent arranging fixes (excludes chargeable damages).

Cleaning equipment hire FAQs
Is hiring cleaning equipment tax deductible?
Hire charges are normally treated as a deductible business expense in the year they’re incurred, rather than a capital purchase. We’d always suggest confirming your position with your accountant.
What's included when I hire a machine?
Delivery, operator training and maintenance during the hire, with breakdown support from our in-house engineers.
How long can I hire for?
From two days to long-term contract hire. For terms beyond about a year, leasing is often more cost-effective — we’ll advise you.
Should I hire, lease or buy?
Hire for short-term or one-off needs and to try before you buy; lease to spread the cost of a machine you’ll use for years while keeping cash free; buy for long-term, high-use equipment. We’ll help you weigh it up.
Do you deliver hire machines across Devon and Cornwall?
Yes — we deliver across Devon, Cornwall and the wider South West from our Exeter base.
Do you provide operator training?
Yes — training is provided on delivery so your team can use the machine safely and effectively.
